Ok I know I'm fiddling but I thought this one ended up better cropped, with more transparency on the boys...and with that grainy effect I'd been looking for and finally found thanks to advice from adrenalineshots and benchwench.  Thanks guys.


And I made an icon too, just for the hell of it

They're both good, but I like the first one better, just because I really loved the fuller shadows.

Yeah, I loved the long shadows too, which is kinda why I left the original as it was. Maybe the key was to have chosen a different base picture!

First version has more background and gives them longer shadows...and it is brighter!

hmm actually I like the 1st version better.... just because it's brighter... idk... I like bright things, so maybe it's because of that, but I really like version 1 better.... it's kinda.. stronger! hmm

I know what you mean - subtlety is not my strong point and I usually go for strong contrast and colours...

MHM, YES! I love colours in pics... and the contrast to be just right, not to dark and not to bright, but it has to capture the colours.... idk how to explan and maybe that's WHY I leave working on pics to professionals :) LOL

but yeah, I really love the 1st version better!
