Solar eclipse, what solar eclipse?
Mar. 20th, 2015 10:13 amI thought they said the East was going to get a reasonable view? Not here. It was thick cloud of the kind where it was actually impossible to tell where the sun was, let alone see anything of this partial eclipse we were having. It just got a little bit greyer. Even the birds were unimpressed, they carried on singing and flying around as if nothing was happening. Last time everything went quiet (even in the centre of London you could hear the birds stop) - and you could also feel the temperature drop. This time it was already so chilly if the temperature did go down a couple more degrees, it was imperceptable.
Very disappointing!
Took a couple of photos but they could be on any grey day really.
This was 08:40 (the eclipse started around 08:30)
08:55 - a bit greyer?
09:25 (peak of the eclipse was supposed to be 09:30 but it never got any darker than this that I could tell)
All in all, a bit of an anticlimax.
