Summary: For Cain, death might be a release.

I thirst.
Since the day of my making, since I drank the blood of Abel, I thirst.
I hunger.
My body is porous; I am full of air and empty. Starved of substance. I hunger.
I yearn.
Relentless, I live only to eat flesh, bite bone, drink blood. I yearn.
The song of the blade is constant, bone-deep; a flow through the molecules of Cain’s blood, a resonance in his bones. It vibrates him like the strings of a harp. Cain accuses Dean of holding back, yet he himself fails to strike the killing blow.
The blade falls. Silence screams.
