Dean unlocked the door with the big-ass old-fashioned key, and wouldn’t you fucking know it? Sam was right there, half naked with just a too-small motel towel round his waist. Probably used all the hot water, too. His brother stood in the middle of their badly-lit room with his back to the door, ignoring Dean.

Standing in front of the green peeling paint of #401’s door, Gen almost chickened out of knocking. Although the stairwells and landings of Hetty Heights were relatively clean and happily free from the smell of piss – definitely a plus and one of the reasons Gen had taken the lease so readily – Seattle was a big city, full of unknown dangers. And Gen was one tiny out-of-towner, about to pick a fight with her closest neighbour on her first day.
