samdean_otp SDMB artings. This one is for 
hybridshade's Sew Me Up with Wires of Steel. Fic Masterpost link has arrived!!!!
Fic summary: Sam left his previous life of guns and covert ops behind for a reason. But when the past comes knocking in a big way, he has no choice but to confront it and deal with the tattered remains of what he once turned his back on. That includes his brother, who's been in the hellish clutches of the enemy for too long and no longer remembers himself, let alone Sam. When Sam gets his hands on intel from said enemy, he puts his skills to good use - he's going to fix things if it kills him. This is a VERY loose/vague fusion with Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
This has been an up-to-the-wire fic (appropriately enough!) so I'm looking forward to reading the full, final version! But there was plenty of story in the early drafts, and great images for me to play with, so I really enjoyed coming up with the following art works.
Hope the banner isn't too headache-inducing - but having recently found a site that makes creating animated gifs so easy, I couldn't resist.
I'd done a manip of Jensen/Dean as Bucky before, so I thought I'd re-use that image for this version of Dean, in a drawing this time.
Here's the pic without any additional distractions
I actually managed to get a pencil feel to it but it is all done in Photoshop, so I was quite pleased with that.
I created Dean's X Ray from a mix of photomanipping and digital drawing
then added it to this illustration of Sam looking at his brother's XRay, and seeing for the first time the extent of the modifications done to Dean.
And then I made a text/chapter divider to complete the set.
which I re-used for the animated banner. Ta da!
And that's the lot, for now. Next art post is next week, then my fic gets posted the week after that - busy times!
