Summary: Kevin and Mrs Tran finally return home. Everything is different yet nothing has changed.

The cello stood in the corner; the high polished sheen on the rich wood dulled by a layer of dust.
Kevin’s mom sighed and he felt her breath drift through him. It was disconcerting.

“Such a mess!” she began, “I hope you are going to tidy this all up now you are home.”

Kevin couldn’t help grinning. He had the best excuse ever for being slovenly.

“Mom, I’m a ghost, I can’t use a vacuum any more.”

His mom just gave him that look. “Find a way.”

Kevin wilted. It was the final nail in the coffin he didn’t have.

Ah ha, perfect. I think Kevin did inherit his mother's indomitability. And maybe he's even still got enough teenager in him despite everything to enjoy getting out of household chores.

Lol! Of course mama Tran would challenge her son, ghost or not. Love this. That 100 days is a good idea and thanks (long past due) for recommending the Write Practice ,site. Not that I've done any of the practicing. :P

Ha ha I don't do any practicing either, but I do have a skim of their advice and save ones I think are going to be useful. Even though I know I'll probably never look at them again!
