100 Days of Happiness - Days 44 & 45

Another little catch up on the happy post.
Yesterday's happy moments were re-reading some classic Dorothy L Sayers while waiting for my Mum's operation to finish. Love me some Lord Peter Wimsey! Not a new volume as you can see from the price - in shillings, no less!

Today's was taking the bus up town with the parents to check out the Cartoon Festival. Managed to get Mum to have a rest and a coffee in the new museum cafe which was a victory of sorts, and here's the evidence.

Pa was bemused, as usual. Bless his little cotton socks (that he never wears because he's always got sandals on).

Not so happy moment - discovering that my eye, that flared up about 4 days ago and had, I thought, been clearing up had in fact just bust another blood vessel to two and looks quite Crossroads demonic again.
Avert your eyes if you are squeamish! It ain't pretty.

Oh, AMB! Your parents look absolutely eccentric and delightful, BUT THAT EYE! Oh, lady!

Eccentric - I suppose they are a bit! Dad has this thing about wearing shorts most of the year which I thought he might have grown out of now he feels the cold a bit more, but nope.
The eye is a nuisance but as long as the inflammation sticks to the edges or the cornea that's okay. (Ish)

OMG, your dad just has that look :D He looks like such a colorful character! Also, hey, be glad that he's not wearing those cotton socks with the sandals! Because it's a thing in the Pacific Northwest.

Poor old Pa - he used to be a bit more colourful but the fall he had downstairs the Christmas before last addled his brain a lot, as well as knocking his body for six. Still, he's happy enough most of the time, as long as he doesn't brood too much on the fact he's finally had to retire from playing (field) hockey.
