Warnings: Season 6 spoilers.  Lisa,  after her Veritas-influenced conversation with Dean.

She stared at the cell-phone until it went dark.

 

Her words cut into her own heart as badly as they must’ve wounded Dean’s; and she had no idea how they’d slipped past her lips.

 

Blindly she sorted through the laundry, the task interrupted by that call.  Found her fingers snagged in a dark-grey sweatshirt.  Dean’s favourite for slouching around, playing softball with Ben, or messing about with Lisa’s only female rival for his affections, the Impala.

 

Impulsively she buried her face in the soft-knapped fabric, breathing deeply Dean’s familiar scent – deodorant, sweat, danger and sorrow.

 

Regret mingled with her tears.

A/N – I know lots of people hate Lisa or any female that catches Dean’s attention but as far as I’m concerned, that woman rocks.  She put up with a war-torn PTSD sufferer for a whole year and gave him nothing but love, and in my book that means she’s entitled to some love in return…And so does Dean.  So I am hoping the writers aren’t done with her and Ben yet…

You're right, she gave him so much in that year and it really deserves to be acknowledged. I want to see more of them and I hope we get it.

Thanks Shan - don't know why I posted this one here as well as FF but there you go. It was nice to see the Show acknowledging the relationship this week when Dean was looking at her name on his phone - I think it would be so wrong (and unrealistic too) to just pretend she had no meaning any more
