The CW are running this design competition (and yes I've seen the arguments about this being exploitation etc but for amateurs like me, this is fun, ok). I've got two entries, and as I understand it, before voting starts, every comment over on the site counts towards getting me through to the next round....so, if you feel up to it, I'd LOVE it if you could put a comment or two on my pieces!Of course, concrit is always very welcome, so don't feel obliged to be nice if you think these can be improved, let me know.
I have just put small thumbnails here to take you to the official page as we aren't supposed to share these elsewhere.

Design #1 - WWWD? What Would a Winchester Do?

This one's a bit silly and now I'm not sure I like it that much but never mind.

Design #2 Team Freewill (last men standing)

I am actually pretty chuffed with how this one turned out.
Fingers crossed, and I hope you won't get fed up of me asking for your support - the voting starts in April!

I love that second one, Amb!

Personally, I hate all the bitching that's been aimed at this contest. I think the bitchers are missing the point, and they're doing so in a pitiful way. Here's my response I post on tumblr:

"As an aside, the CW does not sue us for using their intellectual property to make money in our Society 6 shops, sell prints, have art shows, etc. They could, but they don’t. It’s marketing for them too, and keeps fandom engaged with their product, their show(s). I’m not in favor of crowd-sourcing for design work, but the network has their own staff designers and art departments; if they wanted to put out their own t-shirts, they could do so easily. This contest isn’t about bilking professionals for design work, it’s about encouraging amateurs to try their hand at it, get a little notoriety, and involve fandom in their show.

Granted, it’s not the best way of doing things, but I don’t think it makes you a horrible person for participating, nor do I think it makes TPTB horrible people for hosting it. Deviantart frequently holds similar contests. Just be sure to read the fine print and know what you’re getting into."

And that's how I feel. For pete's sake, take a step back and think, people. Dogmatism is most often a BAD thing. It removes consideration and balance. Drives me apeshit. So you go, Amb. Rock it.

Just looking at the entries now; so many of them didn't even read the rules. Really, folks? Leaving out Sam, or even BOTH Winchesters? Come onnnnnn.

I can perfectly understand professional artists and designers not entering - obviously your IP is worth much more to you and unless you thought there was mileage in the publicity you might be able to gain from winning, why bother? But for the rest of us - it's a fun thing. It reminds me of an old BBC kids programme called Take Hart. This was a art programme, aimed at encouraging kids to paint, draw, create things - and it had a few minutes every week dedicated to showing a selection of the art kids had sent in. You got nothing at all out of it other than the thrill of seeing your work up there for a micro second, you never even got your work back - but who cared? It was like winning a prize.

As to the entries - yeah. The rules say if you use the word SPN you must use their tagline Join the Hunt and there are several entries that have ignored that one too - which is really simple. Hey ho. I don't expect to win, but I like the idea that I might - you know? LOL

Thank you!! Dizzo is going to enter too soon so we'll have to rally round for her design - maybe we can both get through to the next round!
