100 Days of Happiness - Day 17
Mar. 27th, 2014 08:34 pmI had a few happy things to chose from today but thought I'd go for one of my hobbies (heh heh) - charity shop shopping. When I was a kid, me and my best friend used to spend most Saturdays walking miles from one jumble sale to another, hunting for bargains and hoping we'd find some treasure. I did once find a commemorative crown inside a handbag, and Rachel once found a tiny gold cross with a garnet/ruby set in it, so it wasn't a total fantasy. My equivalent these days is trawling the charity shops hunting down nice clothes at bargain prices. I hit gold today, Monsoon, John Rocha, Fatface - I bought a pair of cords, a long cardi thing and four tops for less than £25. And that always makes me very happy, shallow though it is.

You have too many clothes = you need new wardrobe = to have one, you have to ear money = so in conclusion this kind of shopping is encouraging you to work harder and earn more ;) Addictive, YES, but in a good way ;)
