Okay, I'm posting this because I need cheering up, dammit, and thought some of my flist might be in the same sad state. So.

This is an unofficial arting to accompany the fic I'm writing for spn_cinema, King of Hearts. It's a World War 1 J2 AU, Jared is an eighteen year old ornithological specialist in a Scottish Regiment.

It's a very obscure film, nobody's heard of it. I saw it when I was about 15 when it was on telly, then spent years telling people about it and trying to find it again. It's...quirky.

Oh, nicely done! I especially like the shading on the back, the wire at the right, and the background textures that looke kind of like having been ripped into shape (I'm doing that a lot with actual paper and I always love that effect). Also, yay. Jared! In all his glory. That pidgeon on the right is kind of funny, too, it seems to be fascinated with the view. Very well done, all of it!

Well ...apart from the obvious, I actually really like the color of the art, it looks so ... old, it feels old ... idk :-)
And the barbed wire is really a cool element in the pic too, and idk why but now all of a sudden I see the barbed wire wrapped around Jared's calve .. hmm .. anywho, I also like the whatdoyoucallit, those dimples above Jared's butt ... at his lower back? Dunno why, but those dark little circles are just so cute! :-):-)
