Oh my.  A remake after all this time, really?  But who will they get to play Avon?  Surely they can't find anyone who can sneer like our very own Paul Darrow.
And you know they are just going to spoil it by having proper special effects and props that aren't made out of washing up liquid bottles...and costumes that don't have such wonderfully awful batwing sleeves...

From what little I have heard this sounds kind of dire (I heard they were giving Blake a fridged wife to supplement his political motivations), yet I will have to check it out.

I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to this or scared... I will admit that the first convention I ever went to was a Blake's 7 con in NJ in the late 80's. I think I still have pictures tucked away someplace.

Ha ha ah really? Awesome! I never even knew there were such things as conventions until relatively recently... And I think I am very scared - I don't think a US version will even be recognisable as being based on the original.
