Bit of a depressing message from Eye Doctor #6 of 8 today - he confirmed the cornea is irreparably scarred (though he also said it was minor scarring so...it could have been worse, obviously). Apparently I have large pupils which is why I have problems when the light gets dimmer as then the scars come into view, as it were. He's given me some eye drops to contract the pupil so I can try that when I know I'm going to be driving in the dark, or on rainy days.
Otherwise, I carry on seeing double/reflections in that eye as the optician said the new lenses are teh best he can do to correct my vision.
And I have to keep taking the anti virals...maybe indefinitely... which is a real bummer. Can't give blood while I'm on the tablets. :-(
Oh well. Worse things happen at sea.

Date: 2012-11-14 11:53 pm (UTC)That's terrible. At the very beginning of this year hubby, and little K and I all had pink eye back to back 4 times. It was horrible. Miraculously we didn't get any scarring, but man did that suck.
