Drawesome challenge #42

I'm just delighted to actually get a drawesome challenge done! This month is Draw your hand.

So here it is - in ink and watercolour.

I thought I'd mess up the first spread of a new sketchbook to try and kill the fear of using it. I was going to do a blind contour drawing then changed my mind after looking at my chubby little hand, and instead went for a kind of contour drawing mixed with some doodling.

Oh, lovely!! The contrast between the ink/watercolor washes and the hand is great, the linework also gives some excellent form and depth to the fingers.

Nice effect! The contour texture reminds me of wood grain or fingerprint patterns. :)

That's very cool! I like the look of the fingerprint pattern carrying over to the back of your hand 8-)
