Ahhh this post has the even sadder eyes open version at the end. Thanks for posting here on LJ too, it's so much nicer to be able to comment directly, especially with a set of art like this that deserves extra love! I really think I'd have been able to follow a story (maybe not precisely the right story) through the art alone - and each of these pictures fills me with a delightful sense of melancholy. They really are beautiful!
