Old age - sketch

For the DRAWESOME challenge no:16 - age diversity.

I've done a fraction more shading now but I'm not sure it's made much difference. It's not quite right but it was fun trying the greyscale technique again. The erasing in the midtone doesn't show up very well on the actual drawing either though the photo reduced that further.

Oh that’s lovely, such brilliant detail. What type of sketchbook is it?

Thank you! It's a small A5 size sketchbook I got ages ago as part of the Sketchbook Project and that I've sadly failed to fill up in time to go on tour with the mobile library. I'll carry on filling it though and it will still be digitally scanned and put online. I'd really LOVE to go to Brooklyn just to browse through some of these sketchbooks!

They are doing another project at the moment, 4"x4" canvases. You have to pay though.
