Hareports and giraffes

amberdreamsMy giraffe has arrived and is currently lying down in the newly covered alleyway between our house and next door. Sadly the new roof is about the same height as Giraffic Park himself, so he can't stand up under there as planned. Doh.
Fortunately, although his base is also quite long, he's not very fat. However, I don't know yet where he's going to go when we attempt to bring him inside. I've measured again and turns out the ceilings in the hall and living room are only 8ft 6", which gives me a mere 3" clearance if he is upright.
In the meantime, Hareport is finished! He's being collected sometime tomorrow, so in the morning I'm getting hubster to help me take him outside, where he will photographed in daylight, be fixed back onto his pallet and wrapped in bubble wrap ready for transport.

Back view, sitting on his trolley. The lion is supposed to be like the ones in front of Norwich City Hall, and that's Norwich castle on its man-made mound, with the stripey market stalls at the bottom.
Side with Pull's Ferry (another famous ancient Norwich landmark), the river and a random swan

The ducks on the river are supposed to be the plastic duck variety, in honour of the Grand Norwich Duck Race. I am not painting any actual plastic ducks this year so this will have to do instead. LOL
That area was an absolute bugger to paint, even when he was up on his box - it was just so awkward to reach.
