In your own space, share a favourite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.

I've been thinking about this one all day and not got any farther with choosing something - there are just so many occasions where Fandom has given me fabulous memories. Conventions; photo ops; fangirl meet-ups; trips to America, Rome, Germany; reading and writing fanfic; the art, baby, the art.

But in terms of real significance I have to go with the last couple of year, which have been pretty sad for me. All my fandom friends have been so supportive and kind, I'm not sure I'd have been so sanguine or sane without this network, this #SPNFamily having my back. Fandom also gave me an outlet and a happy distraction just when I needed it most.

So yay for Fandom - I'm eternally grateful I landed here.

Fandom is about much more than just watching the same show and creating fanwork, and it's more than attending conventions - it's about the support we give each other and sharing bad times as well as good. You're such a kind and supportive person, and I'm pleased you had support when you needed it, too. I'm also eternally grateful for our fandom!

Sadly, I didn't know you back then - it was in 2010. I went to Mesa Verde for a few days by myself, then met up with a Facebook SPN friend in Nashville and she drove us to Chicago for the convention, where we met up with a few other FB SPN friends. It was a whole bundle of firsts, that trip.
