We arrived in Lincoln mid afternoon and laboured our roundabout way up to the old Bishops Palace to find our rather marvellous accommodations...

I stood right next to Mike Leigh while he was grumping about a take not being quite right...

He's directing a film about the Peterloo massacre in Manchester in 1817 and they were shooting this scene all afternoon, just a few steps away from our hotel. Those extras looked like they were getting hotter and hotter in all those wooly clothes, poor buggers.

I took a couple of little vids of the filming, just for kicks. Look out for this when you see the movie!

Now I'm sitting in my window, looking out over the far distant flat fenland watching a lightning storm. But before the rain really tipped it down - here's how light it was at 10pm.
