I've been busy trying to get my otter painted for the Dartmoor Otter trail, while decorating the giant plastic ducks for the Grand Norwich Duck Race.
The otter is coming along reasonably well, though his tweed cape thingy is driving me a bit nuts.
Actually, the horse is a bit naff too, but never mind.

The dog is supposed to be the Hound of the Baskervilles, by the way. LOL

The vid shows the bottom part of the otter spinning on his lazy susan

Meanwhile, Captain Duck rogers got his name plate done courtesy of a very ancient Letraset which we think might have been bought pre 1971 by Paul's uncle. It cost 10 shillings and sixpence, so it's certainly pre decimal! And it still worked!

And here's Duck Rogers with his plastic goldfish bowl helment and antenna, which are very badly done with wire, duct tape and glass Christmas baubles.

I tarted this photo up to make him look more fun and spacey!

I still haven't decided what to do about Ductor Who's fez... but on Monday me and Lois are taking our ducks to the park for a photoshoot so perhaps I ought to decide what to do before then!

I so adore your art projects. You work so neatly, I'm in awe, also with the magnitude of these objects. All the kudos to you!

Love the otter design and the colour of the grass is so very pretty, especially the marble effect on the front <3

The duck is marvelous too, I didn't know you did two of those! Duck Rogers looks amazing, oh wow, Letraset, that is classic lettering there, very fitting :-D

Ha ha it doesn't look very neat to me! I've actually got three of these giant ducks to do - I've done the Ducktor Who one, and now this one, and the third is hopefully going to be a Mandarin Duck with Chinese designs I have to cut stencils for... which is going to be interesting. Because unlike you, I have no skill whatsoever with scalpels!

These are both really cool. The otter is looking good. I love the blues and greens and the hound is creepy in a good way. It can't be easy to paint on the rounded surface but it's looking good. The duck is awesome from the pun to his funky helmet.

The surface isn't too bad - there's enough non bumpy bits to be able to get going. Glad you like the duck!

I think if you can manage that helmet with the antennae, a fez will be a piece of cake. That's an awesome space duck! Also, Hound of Baskervilles looks amazing :D

The antennae haven't worked that well but I'm seeing a friend tomorrow who's become a dab hand with duck tape and she might be able to help me! LOL

They're looking great. I love the Baskervilles theme - very appropriate for Dartmoor.
Duck Rogers - best pun of the week!

They were pretty keen when I mentioned the Hound of the Baskervilles as my otter idea - i was surprised nobody else had gone for it as there aren't really many other literary references to Dartmoor. And Duck Rogers was my brother in law's idea when I told him I was doing a space duck!
