Pigs ahoy!

Something different today - a plethora of painted piggies! I am painting my pig in this warehouse, but I hadn't realised all the other pigs were in there too...

I had to do a Michelangelo and lie down to paint my piggy's belly, my back is killing me! LOL
But I think I made reasonable progress. Here's how he looks now, ready for his mini Swinions to be painted tomorrow. I need to get some masking tape first though, my paintbrushes are a bit cheap and nasty, and I can't get a nice edge to my blocks of colour.

His eyes are lopsided too but I have to wait for the paint to dry before fixing that. Now I'm having a rest!

I can't remember if I commented on your earlier pigpost, but I'm so excited that your design got picked for this project! It such a cool concept to have artists work with the same base and see all the different ideas brought to life. I LOVE YOUR DESIGN, can't wait to see the final result. How awesome that you got a sneak peek of all the glorious pigs. Thank you for sharing those and for the WIP. Maybe you can bring an old pillow to sit on for the next bit?

(I remember a similar charity project with elephants they did a couple of years ago; when they were displayed all over Amsterdam I tried to track as many of them down together with Silvia. I also saw later projects in London; one with the Shaun the sheep for a Bristol charity and a massive display of Eggs in Covent Garden. I made tons of photos:) I hope I'll be able to check out these pigs in real life as well, let us know where they are going to be shown?)

The pigs will be in Ipswich - it's not really a common tourist destination but we are not far from Harwich if you were to come over by ferry! I think these have become a thing now - London's had a few, Liverpool had Lambananas, Norwich had gorillas one year and dragons the next, and Birmingham had owls...
