Carver is going! Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb are now the new show runners - I'm not sure what I think about that since Singer has a) been here from the start and allowed all sorts of crap to happen, and b) his wife is one of the worst writers on the show...but the good things are his longevity means he's seen the good as well as the bad and he does seem to know the show inside out. And I think Dabb is, generally speaking, a good egg.

So I'm hopeful. Season 12, knock it out of the park with brotherly awesomeness, please. Oh and a shirtless scene every episode please. *snigger is shallow*

I'll be back at some point to bore y'all with my Ravenna photos.

Arividerla, bitches!

AHHHH!!! See you on the flip side bb1 :DD I look forward to some picture posts and some squee updates *points* you promised! ;)
I think I'm gonna be one of the only people on the planet who's happy to see Carver step down *hides from the rock throwing*

I doubt you are the only one. Back in his original run as a writer he had some great episodes that gave me the feeling he understood the brothers (e.g.Christmas) and he brought us the Trickster/Gabriel. But he returned with Sam ignoring Dean&Kevin and settling down without ever really explaining the motivation behind it. So he didn't really bring what fans had hoped he would. He didn't seem to be around much for a while now anyway. Already leaving the (usual showrunner written) final episode of 11 to Dabb.

Agreed, I think perhaps as a show runner the pressure gets high octane and you end up losing sight of the writing and how to work a character. I dunno, I'm just actually looking forward to a fresh start is all.

They should have given it to Robbie Thompson.

I'm not sure about Robbie, he's a bit inclined to be swayed by the loudest fans.

How do you mean?

Let's be more specific here. A shirtless washing the Impala scene. Sparring would be good too. If they could do one of those shout outs to seasons past they've been coming up with lately, a shirtless re-doing of the wrestling on the bed scene from Tall Tales would be optimal. Can't wait to see your pictures!

I'm not so sure about Robert Singer - if he goes into more of the day to day running capacity and very little on the creative side, I can see that working, and since he's the producer on the team and Andrew the writer I hope they go that way.
If he decides he wants to meddle again creatively on more ways than just giving his wife a set number of episodes that we have to substract as duds each season, I'm not so confident.
Still, after the last couple of episodes I'm still kinda riding the awesomeness-high, so nothing can really rain on my parade (except Robbie Thompson leaving the show. that's a blow)
