• Comment with "come at me, bro". Or maybe "I'm in" or something like that ...
• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions.
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions.
1. Is there a reason behind your Atheism? (You don't have to go into specifics if you don't want to, just yes or no will make me happy)
When I was at school I was fairly religious in a very teenagey angsty sort of way (reading books about saints) but I never really liked the dictatorial nature of the Church. Then I started reading more about the history of the growth of christianity, and the way the Church has demeaned the role of women, even demonising us through the ages and I started questioning things more.
And gradually I decided not only was I anti organised religion (most of them suck when you look into them) but that I no longer believe in a higher power either. It just makes no sense. I see why people do believe, but it is not for me.
2. If you're feeling down, what's the one thing that can make you feel better?
A cuddle! Though I don't often feel down these days, which is nice.
3. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up and did you stick to that goal?
An archaeologist. I did my degree but jobs were few and far between so ended up in an office...I still watch Time Team and the like!
4. Would you ever shave your head? (I did it a while ago, I just like knowing if someone else would, lol)
Ew no! I'd look disgusting and would feel too exposed!!! (You are brave!)
5. If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
That's very hard, there are so many interesting people!! From the Dead - I'd go for Eleanor of Aquitaine. With a life like hers she would have some great stories to tell, even if I reckon she'd be pretty intimidating (intellectually speaking). Alive - Bill Bailey.
