E/O Drabble Challenge: word count 100
Challenge word: Floor, and write from the viewpoint of an inanimate object.

What am I?
Death-bearer. Fear-bringer.
Shaped for battle, I was made from the fiery core of a dying star.
I hunger for heat.
I thirst for blood.
Jagged-edged, sharp-tongued, I brook no argument, never debate what is right and what is wrong.
I thrust to the heart of the matter. I slay the foe, never stay to see them fall lifeless to the floor.
I drink deep of the flames and the thick red blood and shine brighter than the star that birthed me in the light of the souls that I set free.
A hero’s hand makes me sing.
