What to say, what to say... it didn't go as well as we'd hoped. LOL!

The Tom Hiddleston film premier wasn't worth the money or effort - it wasn't a fancy affair like the Suffragette premier we watched online, it was much lower key. The set up of the barriers outside the cinema meant they were stopping people from moving forward to get photos or autos, and we only saw 2 cars arrive anyhow, one being the writer/director. Christine was feeling bad so I went inside with her relatively early, but I don't think Kerstin and Christin saw Tom arrive ,even though they stayed outside for a while longer than we did.

The film itself was probably the weirdest, most violent non-horror film I've ever seen. To be honest, 90% of the time I didn't have a bleeding clue what was cracking off. It was kind of clever, I suppose, as a commentary on microcosms of society forming in enclosed communities, and how anarchy can ensue but I dunno. I didn't feel any particular sympathy for any of the characters, not the pregnant woman, the dorky bespectacled kid who gradually turned from a sad little background character to a more sinister voyeur, or indeed, Tom's neuro-surgeon. Though he did look pretty covered in blood and it was nice to see him nekkid.
However, though we failed on the red carpet, we did get an after film talk, with the director, Tom, Sienna Miller and the woman who played the pregnant wife, which was interesting (but live steamed so...). Christine got some photos with her new little camera - I was in such a rush I forgot to take my Dad's camera to the cinema after remembering  to ask mum if I could borrow it! So that was a bugger. Oh and my new dress thing turned my skin green. So all things considered - it was an experience, but not one I'd bother repeating in a hurry. I really need to stop reacting when friends want to do things. At what age does that urge to belong and join in with everything go away?

Crappy iPhone photos follow!
Waiting to be allowed in - the red carpet area is behind the bank of photographers

They had an organist who came up out of the floor! I didn't know there was any cinema left with one of these! Wonder if the organist himself has been there since 1920...

That's Sienna Miller and the actress who played the pregnant woman (I need to look her up on IMDB)

That is it, in a nutshell, a decent time. Got to say, I think you might like the film! It had things to say.
