Wincest BB art masterpost - Oh My Love, Please Don't Cry

My second art post for wincestbigbang couldn't be for a more different story, but who doesn't love psychopathic killer Sam? I know I couldn't resist the summary, and I'm just sorry I didn't have time to do more art for caffeinatedmoose. You can read the story HERE (or on tumblr HERE).

The first pic I did was from a nightmare Dean had, where he's in a room that gradually fills with blood, until he's the only thing left that is clean.
I don't think it's too spoilery for the fic - the pic doesn't show why he's having this particular dream. Anyhow, I wanted to convey the gradual build up of blood, so - ta da! A gif!

Hopefully not too headache inducing...!

I started with Dean in all his layers, because of the reference pic I was using - but I quickly decided that wasn't right and stripped him down to a t shirt.

Wonderful effect and amazing hands. They aren't only lovely drawn hands in general—the hands and posture are so very Dean.

And of course I originally came for freckles and was not disappointed. There are even hand freckles!

The ref photo was from one of my least fave episodes - the one with the Ghostfacers when Sam gets tied up in the basement with the dead people's birthday party. But they released a bunch of promo pics that weren't stills from the episode - Dean sitting there (with his splayed thighs!) was one of them.

Ah giffing is easier than you think when you work digitally - all you have to do is remember to work in layers and/or save versions as you go along. I found this website that you just load up the still images and put them in the right order, then it makes the gif. You can use vids etc too http://makeagif.com/

the banner is nicely creepy with the red shadow, and i love the gif. i admit i like the version with dean wearing layers, but i never say no to a winchester in a t-shirt. :D he looks really good - really pensive, and the freckles get a very enthusiastic two thumbs up - and the blood overlay is pretty nifty.
