My Favourite season – Season 4
Top 5 least fave episodes in this season….this ended up easier than I thought it would be!
1. Episode 4: Metamorphosis. Mainly because there was something about the rugaru I found hard to stomach. Visually that episode is ugly (though it does have Dean splayed out unconscious on a glass table which was very pretty…)
2. Episode 11: Family Remains. I know a lot of people loved this because it felt like an old style creepy one, but it makes me uncomfortable.
3. Episode 12: Cris Angel is a Douchebag. Just not enough boys in this one.
4. Episode 19: Jump the Shark. With hindsight, they needed this episode to introduce Adam as the alternate vessel but it still feels like a filler.
5. Episode 20: The Rapture. I just didn’t care about Jimmy and wanted the main story arc to push on.
Top 5 least fave secondary characters from Season 4:
1. The Milligans (though to be fair, they were ghouls at the time so I probably wasn’t seeing them in the best light…)
2. The group of Magicians in Cris Angel
3. The Rugaru guy
4. Young Dean in After School Special. Every time Brock Kelly delivers that line about being a hero it makes me cringe.
5. I’ll have to go with the Novaks, not because they were particularly awful, just that set against the rest of the secondary characters of Season 4, they come out weaker. I mean, Season 4 gave us Anna, Uriel, Zachariah, Alastair, Castiel, young Sam, Pamela Barnes, little Audrey and her suicidal teddy bear…. There isn’t much that can compete with that kind of line up.
My least fave season – ok , this was MUCH harder on all counts. I’ll go with Season 7.
And my Top 5 fave episodes in Season 7 – this was a real struggle as I couldn’t remember what half of the episodes were about, even after checking the summaries on superwiki!
1. Episodes 1 & 2: Meet the New Boss & Hello Cruel World – I’m counting these as one because they are kind of seamless in terms of story. And they did start the season well…it went downhill after that though.
2. Episode 7: Slash Fiction – because Levi!Winchesters were fun
3. Episode 10: Death’s Door – Bobby, no!
4. Episode 12: Time after Time – because I love a bit of time travel and Eliot Ness was a great character
5. Episode 17: The Born Again Identity – because sad, sick Sammy in scrubs and Hallucifer are made of win, no matter what.
Top 5 fave secondary characters from Season 7 in no particular order:
1. Dick Roman (but I kind of liked Edgar too)
2. Eliot Ness
3. Jody Mills
4. Frank Devereaux
5. Kevin Tran
