Process:
All digital - sketched using body references found via image searches, and photo refs for the faces. This was the original outline sketch
For the background I originally used a brochure type photo of a villa with a pool, then painted over it, added layers for effect and texture until it looked 'right' to me. But then as I went on I almost totally lost the background, because I wanted all the attention to focus on the characters. Hopefully there is enough of an impression left to suggest they are poolside. I painted the figures in PaintTool Sai so I could retain some of that watercolour effect.
