Christmas has arrived! Well nearly.

I finally got round to putting the lights on the tree and stuff today so here's the obligatory festive fireplace photo - yay, it alliterates (phonetically anyway).

And because I wanted to, here's J2 as rather belligerent elves. (The base photo is a heartsowild photo op, which is awesome).

oooh, it looks so pretty! Look at you, all festive. :-D

I searched our storage compartment in the garage looking for our Christmas tree last night, and BL rooted all through it today, only for me to remember, after all that, that it's in the closet inside. :-}

But she found it and set it up (all two feet of it), and we have a GORGEOUS poinsettia, so it's more decorating than I usually do.

LOL! Enforcer elves, they look like they've helped put up their last tree of the year. And what a pretty, pretty setting for your adorable tree. A friend of mine bought a 'skinny tree' and she has never been happier, it's smaller and more manageable that a traditional tree which gets to be a chore after twenty years or so :)

Thanks! That fireplace isn't an original though, it was put in by previous occupants. The only original one we have left in the house (dating from the 1840s) is in the room next door and has these rather nice dark green tiles.
