An illustration for this charming ficlet - Sam and the kitty was such a cute image... mind you, my cat has come out looking a bit evil.  Sorry about that - no references used for cat or Sam or anything at all, actually, so ignore any inaccuracies!

That cat totally has the claws in him! I know what it means when they assume that pose with the paws like that :D Clawing time! You just wait, Sam :D Also, far more importantly, Sam is looking gorgeous.

You are of course, quite right, those claws will be out momentarily when the cat decides Sam would make a nice nest.
