Battlestar chocolate obsession

Oh dear. I'm watching Battlestar Galactica (the recent one) because so many friends have recommended it and there's this scene of celebration, champagne rejoicing etc. Starbuck hands Apollo a thin, brown, finger-shaped thing and I'm thinking, aw, that's so kind. She's giving him her last Cadbury's chocolate finger biscuit.
Not the obvious thing - a cigar. Nope, my brain turns it into chocolate. Marvellous. I'm quite affronted when he bites the end of AND SPITS IT OUT!

Of course he spit it out! He was expecting chocolate and he got tobacco!

The sad thing was, it was only when he did the spitting thing that I realised it was a cigar... Bwhahah!

That is hilarious. SNORT. No, cigars were much more their thing although one character does develop a bit of a binge eating thing at one point...!

I've never seen a chocolate biscuit in space so why I'd think that I have no idea... well apart from my obvious greed when it comes to Cadbury's chocolate fingers that is...

Mmm well, I've stupidly started watching partway through Season 1 so frankly didn't have much idea what was going on but I guess I'll keep watching now

I watched the show when it originally aired, and I'm working my way through S1 right now with a couple of friends who've never seen it before. You may have done yourself a favor by skipping over the miniseries, frankly--it's deadly slow. My friends only made it through with a heavy dose of bourbon and snark, but once they got into the series proper they loved it.
