White Out - fic rec and art

eggnogged wrote this lovely fic called White Out for  de_nugis and I liked it.  A lot. So I made a picture, and a PDF, here.

And a watercolourish version done in Corel Painter.

Which I like better.  Oh well.

Oh, both versions are wonderful! Very nice composition with such a splendid winter feel. And that raven is adorable. I imagine he's supposed to be a naughty raven, but they're one of my many favorite birds and that's a lovely one.

I really like all members of the crow family - crows and ravens are very intelligent too. In the fic the crow has a part to play - a blizzard in the middle of summer is not a consequence of climate change, after all!
