Experimental drawing

amberdreamsI downloaded a free copy of Sai for Mac on the advice of badbastion, and have been playing with it today, having finally worked out that the reason my tablet didn't work with my new laptop was merely because the bluetooth connection hadn't been set up...Doh!
So this is the result of a bit of experimentation using a Vancon photo by wolfpup2000 as a reference. It's interesting, I must practice a lot I think... I'm not sure how to do the line layers and there doesn't seem to be a smudge option in every mode...Basically I haven't a clue what I'm doing yet LOL!
I used the photo as a layer to get Jared's basic features, then tried some experimental colouring with the paintbrush and airbrushes, and striped Jared off for good measure. Hee.
So it's a bit of a mess but I can only get better, right?
