Thinking about the Good Times

They arrived in this big black beautiful beast of a car, walked into the store bumping shoulders and bickering like my grandkids used to before puberty made them angry.

I could see Sequoia-tree hunching his shoulders, trying to look non-threatening, while the pretty one just wielded that killer-grin of his to get every female a-fluttering.  I’m old so it didn’t bother me any ‘til he spoke.

That voice!  A rumble to rival that old V-8 engine outside.  Reminded me of…well, never you mind.  It was a long time ago.

What’d they do? Bought all our salt and left, is all.
