amberdreamsI wanted to do more fills for 
ohsam Sammy's birthday celebration, but so far this is it, and it didn't work how I'd wanted it to. Never mind hey!
The texture I used for the colour version is by sirius on Flickr/deviantart - some lovely free textures there.
Black & white version
The background is a much played with photo of a non existent tower block called the Pinnacle which was proposed for a site near Tower 42 in London. I monochromed it then applied a lense flare plus some blurring and scratched effects.
It was all done digitally in PS, even though I'd started out intending to do this in pencil. Some in progress shots and details:
I kind of liked Sam's hand...
I wasn't so happy with Sammy's face, it didn't quite work for me.
Early phase of the drawing before I decided to steam-punk-up his wings.
More filled in and some shading (too much round his face)
