Nine Season Countdown to Season 10 - Season 8

These later seasons are hard to be objective about - there are good episodes but so much dross to sift through it's difficult to see the positive parts, especially when I've not watched the whole season again.
Nice title card though

Parts I liked - Sam's trials, Abaddon (she was a really cool villainess and they could have done a lot more with her than they did...), Benny, Purgatory
What I didn't like - Sam not looking for Dean (though I really think mental breakdown is the reason), the fact we got so little of Purgatory, a whole bunch of awful inconsistencies that are too bad to gloss over
So instead of deep analysis - PICSPAM!
One of the awesomest VFX sequences they've ever done

So I suppose it wasn't too bad after all. And still better than Season 7.
