Dean gets on the wrong side of an Inuit tupilak spirit on the Winchesters’ first visit to Alaska. Sam to the rescue…
***********
Helpless, Dean watches with a pain-blurred sense of detachment as Sam rocks back on his haunches, maintaining his strange sing-song chant.
His brother’s bulk is silhouetted against the twilight of the white-night solstice, the wide skies still impossibly cerulean blue at midnight.
Dean can clearly see the dark smoke-trail as the angry tupilak is sung out of his body. He screams as the reluctantly departing spirit tears him apart from the inside out.
The Alaskan night turns red, then black.
He comes to, trembling and sweating, Sam’s hand a heavy comforting weight on his chest.
“It’s ok, Dean. It’s gone.”
