The Journey
The image of Jensen looking longingly out of his window at Builder Jared jumped out at me from the start, so I spent ages looking for references from interesting angles. As seems to be my default, my initial sketch was from a much more exaggerated angle, and though I was using the same reference for the main pic, somehow it got softened and the viewpoint lowered, which meant I couldn't put the tiny Jared on the pavement outside! Doh!
Anyhow, that kind of worked out, because laughing Builder Jared then became the obvious choice for the banner. Here is the scanned watercolour, sans digitally added text, shadows and background. For once I was really happy with him - that smile must be infectious!
