I dunno. I had an idea in my head and it just didn't turn out right. I also learned charcoal pencil doesn't work on top of graphite, and ink is questionable. Plus of course, graphite doesn't scan terribly well
He looks beautiful! Even if he doesnβt look the same as the vision in your head did! I love the smooth shading on his cheeks verses the textured shading in the background π€ (And charcoal not working on graphite is a bastard! Number of times Iβve ended up with shiny grey shading and then wanted to just black it up by adding charcoal on top but π π€·π»ββοΈ β if you ever find a work around (other than better planning π) please let me know ππ»π) Still gorgeous tho! ππ€
ha ha I will indeed β I just bought some interesting soft carbon pencils from Art Graf and they seem promising. Very black and interestingly they are water soluble too. I've only tried a rough sketch so far and need to have a play.
