amberdreams: (Bum)

Mad March Hare!

Note to self - never, ever try taking one of these animal sculpture thingies upstairs, ever again.

Me and Paul managed to get Hareport down from the bedroom without knocking the light off the wall, or gouging chunks out of walls, bannisters or our legs, and without damaging his paintwork (apart from a bit of blue rubbed off the tip of an ear) - but man, I'm fecking knackered! My back's killing me. I told Paul I should go on the downside with the hare's legs but he insisted on being the man and take what he thought was the more risky bit (going downstairs backwards), which meant I got the hare's bum. Which was large. And heavy, and bloody difficult to hang onto with small hands and short arms.

Anyhow, I did manage not to drop the hare on Paul's head, so I'll count that as a win. The furniture is all moved around, the upset spiders have been relocated and the dust hoovered up. The hare's now sitting on a wooden box in our living room so I can hopefully now get to his stomach to paint the damn ducks on the river, and Paul is happy because I've managed to arrange the room so he can still see the telly, so he's now esconced in his old man's chair ready to watch the rugby.

Me, I think I might have an old lady nap now. LOL!

That does sound like hard work, no wonder you need a nap! I'm pleased your spiders have been relocated and Paul can see the telly from his old man's chair!

I managed to stay awake! It's a miracle... LOL

What a 'hare-owing' tale. Glad Bugs survived and the man chair/TV vantange point is of singular importance : )
Naps are also good.

Naps are good but somehow I never had one. Never mind, there's always tomorrow! :D

I vote nap! The spiders owe you for allowing them to relocate instead of Instant Death or vacating entirely!

The spiders do owe me - our house is full of 'em.

Glad it all went okay!

Me too!! :D

Pretty accurate!

I'm glad you still have your heads -- that story sounds a bit scary. You've totally earned that nap. :)

[identity profile] amberdreams.livejournal.com 2018-03-11 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I did but I failed at taking it. LOL

[identity profile] etrix.livejournal.com 2018-03-11 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Enjoy your nap. You've earned it.

[identity profile] amberdreams.livejournal.com 2018-03-11 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I totally failed at napping though. LOL

Glad you, the hubs, and Hareport survived the journey! (I need an old-lady nap just from reading about it, so you who actually did all the work are muchly deserving of that nap!)

Got any pics of Hare Gigantor? :D

I'm hoping for some decent daylight tomorrow so I can get some photos of the hare now he's enthroned on his box. I'm also hoping to finish him off before Friday when the giraffe arrives!

Oh HUN! You seriously need a minder! LOL!

Well done for the safe relocation of the hare, and hey, at least you now know that upstairs is a no go for future creatures!

I'm so glad Paul's head has remained intact and that hare is in situ, ready to start the next phase of his decoration!
(I bet Paul's regretting watching the rugby after England's 'performance'!)

Fortunately, it was the Wales v Italy match he was watching!
