What's orange, totalitarian and hates stairs?

Yup! That's exacty what I said when I heard the hilarious news thatTrump held hands with Theresa May because he's afraid of stairs..

Oh Dear Dave...

I don't know if any of you remember me talking about the editing/rewriting work I was doing for the bloke who decorated the outside of our house? Long story short, he told me he had some children's books written and wanted me to edit them. The first one was about two fishcakes. Yeah.
Well anyway, I did that one, then I've done three more - some so awful I had to almost completely rewrite them for all sorts of reasons (horny pizzas, anyone?). They are all still pretty dreadful but at least the spelling is ok and they kind of flow. A bit.

Here's his promo for the fishcakes one!

Now seriously, would you buy something a) about fish cakes and b) with characters that look like THAT? Bearing in mind this is for preschoolers...

Points mean prizes! Or not.

How come I never win prizes I actually want, but I win ones that give me almost exactly the opposite of what I'd want? Last time I won a raffle I got three cans of lager (I'm teetotal). This time I've won a signed copy of Fifty Shades of Grey!!!!! In a prize draw I didn't even know I'd entered via our local library.

Got to say, I'm pissing myself laughing here. Wonder if I could sell it on Ebay for a couple of quid.

Daft Dad!! Ha ha ha!

I had to update my previous post about my Dad getting set for his annual Hockey dinner.
Here's the before...
Dad ready for his West Derby Vets dinner
And here's the after - in Liverpool's Anglican cathedral with Dad's little sister, Margaret.
Dad & Marg Feb 2015
Who is just telling him that is the most money anyone's ever paid to visit her - because Dad had either got the day wrong or gone to the wrong venue!!! Mum couldn't believe it - they'd had to get a taxi from Shrewsbury to Liverpool because Dad is too doddery to manage the several changes of train required (and they hadn't told me about this in time for me to travel up there to assist). So they'd just spent £200 to go visit my Aunty.

You have to laugh!

Bwhahaha!

Somehow, I doubt we'd all still be watching 10 years later if this had happened but still...
