Jensen on fire!
I've been working on sculpture trail designs for a while now with lots of deadlines coming up, and I'm feeling all designed out. So last night I started an experimental coloured pencil drawing of Jensen, from the photo on the cover of the calendar the lovely Viv gave me for Christmas. I'd bought an indigo Derwent Procolour sample pencil for a penny as an add on to an order for various other art supplies, so thought I might as well use it.
I rather like it!
I added the reds, yellows and oranges from a Prismacolour set, and decided to stop while I was winning. LOL
Here's the finished Jensen

And a couple of the interim stages (though there's not much difference between them ha ha)

I should really try mapping out my page before starting, I always end up with the drawing off to one side and either too close to the top or the bottom of the page.

Love the flames of course, but also those little eye-crinkles <3 A great portrait, AMB!
