A birthday tribute to Miss Sillie82!
I thought I'd do a
sillie82 special rec post of all my favourite sillie creations as a Happy Birthday celebration - so please join me, go and leave her some love on each and every one of these lovely artworks! I've posted thumbnails here - just click through each one to go to the relevant LJ post. Feedback is awesome and a gift that is so easy to give (especially when someone is as talented as our girl)!
My first choice is one that
sillie82 uses in her background here on LJ and was, I think, the first of her drawings that hit me - both in the feels and in the art-alert-monitor. Although it was done a long while ago now, I think it's still one of my fave arts of hers and one of my fave Dean arts all together. It's a great likeness, and captures that gorgeous vulnerability of sleep.

Second is an lovely example of the way she uses traditional media to produce a kind of ethereal, magical quality. I love way the watercolours and salt create such pretty patterns and how they enhance the picture. I've not really seen anyone else do this technique, and I love it. Besides which, how sexy is this?

Third is just to show our girl is versatile! Not only can she draw, paint and use photoshop, she can take great photos of cute and imaginative scenes, crochet/knit and make cuteness with tentacles!

Last for this post is another of my favourites - such a great composition, a wonderful original traditional picture that was only enhanced and made even more stunning by using photoshop. I mean, just look how vivid and compelling those eyes are.

So in conclusion, many happy returns of the day, my dear - you are awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing what you create this year.
The rest of you, go and check out the rest of
sillie82's wonderful art!
