Another summergen inspired picture - and I think I am procrastinating.  I should be writing fic and instead I am playing with other people's words.  Oh well.
This was from a scene in the fic In the presence of another world.  Dear anon author now revealed as indiachick, this is for you.


The process:
I used a Season 4 promo pic and have tried to age Jared a bit so he looks a bit more Season 8-ish, and I've also tried to give the effect of the glow of the flowers reflected on his face and clothes.  The background is two textures - one is by pareeerica on flickr, and the other by sirius_sdz on deviantart. I found the flowers on google images and cut some out then duplicated them in different sizes and combinations to make a field of them.  I've overlaid everything with a home made canvas effect to give it more texture.

Really lovely! A great addition to this season's summergen activities, which are turning out splendidly all around, imho. I adore the contrast of the gold hues and the blues.

this is really lovely. the flowers do indeed look like they're glowing, the blue is a really fabulous bright color, and sam of course is gorgeous.

I thought I was going to have to do something to make those flowers glow but just the intensity of the colour was enough in the end.

Oh my God, you win the internet! I don't know how I managed to contain the squee till the reveals, but now I don't have to, so SQUEEEE!! You made art for my story! Glowy, beautiful art with the flowers and their cobalt petals AND their orange centers, AND Sam!! Thank you so much! I love the colors, and the texture, and there really was a lot of jumping around in joy involved when I found this :D
