Minibang musing
Nobody wants my minibang story... *sniffle wiffle worry*. Probably because I wrote such a totally crappy summary LOL. I was reading it today thinking - why didn't I tell artists about all the visual stuff instead of waffling on about the same thing about 3 times? Doh, what a plonker. UPDATE TO SAY - my fic now has a home! Woo hoo! (I nearly typed PUDATE which is kind of interesting).
Still, I've claimed a really interesting story, I am looking forward to reading it and coming up with some ideas! It was the bit about Jung in the warnings that caught my attention Warnings: misuse of Jungian archetypes, cursing, end of season 6 AU, drama/angst
Summary: After Sam’s wall breaks, Dean ventures into his mind, to try to bring him back before it’s too late. There, he encounters seven different archetypes that completely shift Dean’s view of his brother… and himself.
Cool, huh?

I was claimed early on.. and I had a tiny vague summary. I wrote #12 A Bed of Their own. There is so much art stuff in there, so much fun stuff to draw but my mind went blank for a art rich summary.

And I was panicking too early, I've been claimed now!
I shall look out for your bed one. It was really hard making a shortlist myself for art claiming - most of them sounded like they'd have plenty of interesting imagery.

of sixteen fics at WBB only 9 have been claimed and the mod isn't verifying the claims or striking the claimed fics.. it is a little bit of chaos.. no wonder the claims there are slow today.
Oh so many have great imagery.

And I'm sure somebody will claim you soon. I claimed my first bigbang as an artist when there were like a dozen stories left, because I signed up for that exact story that no one seemed to get before, but I could see the vid in my head. There's an artist for every story!

Damn it!
I drove myself crazy over that one and putting in for it.
And yes, I know what Jungian archetypes are without the googles.
But in the end, I had no idea what the art would look like.
I'm reading it though!!!
And if it still doesn't get picked-- I might ruin your life and grab it.
:)

I have no idea what I'm going to do for this one I'm arting for but I'm sure it's going to be fun.

And the story you're illustrating sounds fascinating.

I always feel what I can draw for a fic is not why I love the fic or the essence of it, in most cases. It's more convenient to draw the actions and scenes in the showing part than those great insights in the telling part. This time I chose I Can Feel a Dream Down Here whose summary hasn't many picturesque details except for the minor characters and the batcave.
I don't know how you can both write and do art for multiple bigbangs...I just hope I can finish everything in the future chaos of school and life...

You will be fine, I'm sure you are far more organised than me!

That is a super awesome sounding summary! Anything Jung-ish can be quite interesting, but add in Winchesters and you have a veritable psychological fun-house.

On that note, and I'm speaking from experience here, I congratulate your artist. He or she is going to have so much fun working on your story :)
As for the story that you claimed, it sure sounds interesting. To be honest, the moment I read Sam and Dean "versus" Jungian archetypes I was sold. Yet another story to look forward to!

May I ask what your book is about?
Speaking of creating things, I hope I'll finally be able to send you a new picture in the next days. Until then I threw away a lot of sketches, but today I finally did one I'm okay with. Now it's off to get the background done!

Sorry to be more serious - I have a problem putting things aside for a while as my memory is terrible and I have to read everythign all over again to remind myself what the hell I was on about...
It's about two brothers who hunt demons (sound familiar? LOL). But the demons are very different from SPN's, it's a different kind of world and my brothers are hopefully not a great deal like Sam and Dean. The few people who've read it seem to think it's managed to move far enough away from SPN anyway!

Anyway, I think your story premise sounds interesting. I've never know a "real" author. That's exciting. You're aware that my mind just put you firmly into "VIP"-category now, right? ;)

In the meantime if you read Astolat's rather wonderful fanfics and chat to her, you will get to know a real published author because she writes as Naomi Novak. Her novels are pretty good!
PS what is wrong with Dean's knees?

Astolat...I'm writing down her name as we speak. Thanks for the rec! However, you're still my first VIP. Struggling author on her way to fame. Sounds very cool ;)
Dean's knee refused to let itself be drawn. I learned that male knees are hard to draw!
