100 Days of Happiness - Days 38 & 39

Getting behind again, but not because I'm not finding happy things! Actually taking photos of happy things is the hardest part.
Day 38  has no photo because we were meeting old friends for lunch. I'm happy to say that we were too busy catching up after the 3 years or so since we last spoke face to face, plus drooling over their magnificent photos from the London Olympics to worry about taking a picture. Phil had been a 'games maker' and also worked behind the scenes for the ODA so had managed to snaffle some great seats for the Heptathlon. From trackside he'd got some superb shots of Jessica Ennis and the other British girls as well as Austra Skuyte and a couple of the other competitors.
I may have had a slight case of lens envy! LOL
Today (Day 39) has a pic

This is just one of the houses that back onto our lovely town centre park, all different. This one I like for the sweeping staircase, though my fave is farther down the street and has a big tower. They aren't all that old, 1850s, probably a little bit after our house was built, but they are rather fun and have a great view over the town from their upper stories. When I'm a multi millionaire, I shall buy one. *wink*

That's very pretty. Lusting after real estate is one of my favorite hobbies. Sometimes I click on the real estate ads that appear on the New York Times website and spend half an hour looking at apartments that cost a few million dollars.

It's great having online resources now, it means we can indulge this passion without having to pretend to a posh estate agent that we have a legitimate reason for wanting to look at the house paper in order to see the pics of all the rooms!

I get the RSS feed of this blog

http://www.desiretoinspire.net

on LJ to give me some real estate/decor porn. A lot of the places they show are in Australia, so they will be tragically irrelevant to me even when I become a billionaire, but they are fun to look at.

I dunno, as billionaire you could have properties round the globe to save staying at anonymous hotels when you jet set.

That is a gorgeous house! I second your desire to move into it, although I am sure I wouldn't want to try & pay its bills!

Ah yes, or do the cleaning. One would have to have help, methinks. Another reason one would have to have a few millions before buying!
