He’s been there long enough for the mud to dry, and there’s something tickling his nose. Scratch that (ha! good one), now there’s something tickling his hand. He gropes around – so silky, furry-soft.
Aha! He knows that texture. His fingers close around a warm body. He lifts it up so they’re nose to quivering nose.
“Mornin’, Sammy,” Dean says, staring into worried hazel eyes. Dean’s brow creases. Sam’s a lot smaller than he thought. And hairier, if that's even possible.
Dean can’t remember the last time he was able to pick his little brother up with one hand.
Sam whiffles.
