Proof that Dean used his big knife to shave when in Purgatory has just surfaced.  The fact that he was hallucinating Sam sticking a shotgun up his nose at the same time just goes to show how traumatic a time it was for poor Dean.

Yes, he was haunted day and night by strange visions of Sam. He could confide in Benny because the Vamp would have just laughed at Dean when he mentioned that he was seeing Sam doing inappropriate things with weapons...
