Dr Who!!!! SPOILERS

Woo hoo!  Best one for years by far BUT

WTF???? Dr Who two-timed River Song with Queen Elizabeth I??  Who incidentally occasionally sounded exactly like Queenie from Black Adder II.  I was missing Nursie to be honest.  What a damn shame they couldn't keep John Hurt on - he was fabulous.

Now can someone tell me...if the new Doctor was regenerated from John Hurt's doctor, he won't remember either David Tennant's Doctor or Matt Smith's...will he?  Or was he supposed to be regenerating into one of them?

Main moment of disappointment - Tom Baker didn't offer anyone a jelly baby!

No. He regenerated into Christopher Eccelston.

And my throat is SORE from all the screaming!!!

He never two-timed River Song -- he was with QE1 BEFORE her.

I screamed seeing Capaldi. I screamed the second I heard Tom Baker. Seeing him again, I started to literally cry.

He will always be MY Doctor.

He was my first. Ironically the episode I first saw was the one with the Zygons. And Sarah Jane.

I was thrilled to see that it wasn't really Rose. HATED that woman post-Doomsday.

Anyway. That is my squee.

I don't think it could have been done any better.

He was regenerating into Nine! Who should have been in this :(

But it was so awesome! I loved it :)

(I don't think Ten knew he was with River yet at that point. Does this make him technically a bigamist?)

Queenie! That's who she reminded me of!

I was a little thrown because I thought this was Matt Smith's last episode, so I spent the whole time wondering when he'd regenerate. But in spite of the confusion it was a lot of fun. John Hurt was great, although I'm sad Eccleston wasn't back--I thought the Hurt role was obviously written for him.

I haven't been this thrilled with Doctor Who in AGES. Wish Eccleston had been in there, of course (Nine will always be my favourite), but fantastic otherwise.
